As the Thanksgiving season is upon us, we reflect on our many blessings and thank you for your continued support and allowing us to serve you. This year, we have been developing plans to enhance the services we provide. Sioux Center is a growing, vibrant community encompassing residents across the entire lifespan and we want to ensure our healthcare services are meeting the community needs both now and in the future. Our Growing Community Capital Campaign involves expansion and construction to the hospital campus and senior living campus.
The largest component of our project involves expanding services with different levels of care on our senior living campus. This will create one community with a continuum of care for residents as their healthcare needs change and provide a greater capacity to allow seniors to stay in our community.
The project involves:
- 16 assisted living memory care apartments
- 24 assisted living apartments
- 32 skilled nursing rooms
The senior living community will incorporate a main street that will connect all the campus buildings and provide amenities for residents and family to enjoy including a salon and spa, chapel, café, and a large gathering space.
The second piece of the project involves the hospital and medical clinic campus. We will make changes to the main entrance to allow for a private admission area and a separate specialty clinic registration and waiting area. To meet the needs of our growing community, we will construct 16 additional medical clinic exam rooms and 7 additional specialty clinic exam rooms. We will incorporate the urgent care clinic into the medical clinic making it a one stop location for all your clinic appointments.
The final part of this project includes relocating our occupational health and home medical equipment services to our main campus. Having these services in one location will improve coordination of care with the medical clinic and allow for additional departmental growth.
Incorporating all the changes will cost approximately $33 million. Our Growing Community Capital Campaign is underway to help support this important project. We will need significant gifts to help make this project a reality. If you would like to schedule a personal visit to learn more about this project and how you can support it, please reach out to Cory Nelson, CEO at (712) 722-8107 / cory.nelson@siouxcenterhealth.org or Monica Sedelmeier, Chief Quality Officer at (712) 722-8415 / monica.sedelmeier@siouxcenterhealth.org. This is an important project for our community and it will take our community to help support it and make it a reality.
We thank you for your prayers, for your commitment to Sioux Center Health, and for your financial support as we continue to meet your healthcare needs through our work as a health ministry.
